Colin Hoschke

Colin was appointed a Director of The Distillery in 2003. Colin is a foundation member of the Australian Computer Society. He was a Director of the Australian Information Industry Association from 1987-1992, President of the Australian Honeywell Bull User Group for three years in the 1980’s and President of the Australian Informix User Group for three years in the 1990’s.

His formative years in the industry were with the AMP Society and the Sydney Stock Exchange until 1970 when he joined one of Australia’s first software companies Wacher Partners, becoming a partner a year later and acquiring the company in 1974. For the next 23 years he guided the company to considerable success and when it was taken over in 1997 by the Sanderson Group he was retained as Chairman of the Group’s Asia Pacific companies until he resigned in 2000 following the sale of the Sanderson Group.

Colin is currently Executive Chairman of Mainpac, developer of asset management software solutions, Chairman of Professional Services company iPlatinum and Chairman of Tickit Systems, provider of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Software.
